Read this before uploading a photo
This is an experimental service, not a production fitting tool. It processes a photo of a person to generate a visual simulation with a selected garment. Results may be inaccurate and are not a guarantee of fit, size, colour, texture, product availability, or appearance in person. Upload only a photo you have the right and authority to use.
Information the demo handles
- Access information: the email address submitted to enter the demo and a generation count associated with that address.
- Photos and selections: the person photo you choose, the selected garment image, and the generated virtual try-on result.
- Device and usage information: standard request data, page interactions, performance data, error information, IP address, browser or device information, and timestamps processed by hosting, security, and analytics services.
- Local browser data: the demo stores the submitted waitlist email in local storage so it can recognize access on a later visit. You can remove it by clearing site data in your browser.
How we use information
- provide demo access and enforce the stated generation limit;
- process a selected garment and photo to generate and return a simulation;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, and measure the performance of the experiment;
- respond to privacy, support, and deletion requests; and
- send product updates only where we have valid consent or another lawful basis, with a way to withdraw or unsubscribe.
Consent and legal bases
We process the uploaded image at your request and with the consent expressed by choosing and submitting it for virtual try-on. Do not upload another person's image without their informed permission. Depending on applicable law, we also rely on performance of the service you request, legitimate interests in securing and improving the demo, compliance with legal obligations, and consent for optional electronic marketing. You may withdraw marketing consent without losing the right to make a privacy request.
Processors and international transfers
The experiment uses service providers for cloud hosting and delivery, database or asset storage, AI image processing, email operations, and website performance analytics. The current public demo loads assets from Supabase and uses Vercel hosting, Analytics, and Speed Insights. AI processing providers receive the source photo and garment image only to perform the requested generation. These providers may process information in other countries under their contractual terms and safeguards.
We do not sell personal information and do not use an uploaded photo for targeted advertising, identity recognition, or to train our own general-purpose model.
Retention and deletion
The source photo and generated result are used for the requested generation and are not intended to become a permanent IceCapApps photo library. They may be held temporarily by infrastructure and AI processors to complete, secure, and troubleshoot the request, subject to their configured retention. The demo retains the submitted email and associated access or generation records while the access program is active, until consent is withdrawn, or while reasonably needed for security, legal obligations, or dispute resolution. Browser local storage remains until you clear it.
You may request deletion at apps@icecapapps.com. We will delete identifiable records we control unless retention is required by law or a record is needed for a legal claim. Provider backups and security logs may age out under applicable retention cycles.
Security
We use encrypted HTTPS transport and access controls appropriate to an experimental service. Photos are sensitive; no online system is completely secure. Do not upload identification documents, intimate images, children's images, or photos containing sensitive background information.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection and may withdraw consent. We may need to verify your identity. Contact the IceCapApps Privacy Officer at apps@icecapapps.com. Canadian residents may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada; EEA and UK residents may complain to their local data protection authority.
Children
The experiment is not directed to children under 13 or the higher minimum age required where they live. Do not upload a child's image. Contact us if you believe a child's information was submitted so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
